Free Hoi An guidebook app launched for tourists

A free app known as Hoi An Local Guidebook has been launched for tourists visiting the ancient city.


The app was developed by a 24 year old student named Le Quoc Tien who was inspired by the love to Hoi An ancient town and the continuing thought of how foreigners can discover, understand the town easily without getting confused.

Hoi An Local Guidebook is used on the smartphone with basic categories written bilingually in English and Vietnamese. Tourist can search on tourist attractions, food, maps, folk performances and their way around the city. The advantage of this application is that it can be used without Internet connection, beautiful user interface.

Mr. John, a traveler shared: “This app helps me to travel and learn about Hoi An easier than using a paper map.”

Hoi An, located in the central coastal province of Quang Nam, is an old trading port that dates back to the 15th century. Its architecture and layout reflect the indigenous and foreign influences that melted together to produce the unique character of the town.
